Hurricane Sandy has been a very devastating storm with over 74 people confirmed dead. There has been 111 homes destroyed and firefighters are still sifting through the wreckage. There has been an estimated 20 million dollars worth of damage caused by Sandy. Over five and a half million Americans are now without power. The water level is at a record high of 14 feet in New York. The subways in New York are still closed causing many people to be without any form of transportation.

             

       

            If I had survived the Hurricane I probably would have done exactly what I did after the tornadoes. I would be bored out of my mind, sick of wearing dirty clothes, and I would go to bed really early on account of how it got dark early and my parents wanting to save our candles. Unless I was one of the people who lost their homes, then I would behave very differently. I would start trying to rebuild my home if it had been destroyed. Hurricane Sandy was very devastating.
